The Story Behind JP's
JP's Journey Begins
JP, born in Cairo and raised in Manhattan, discovered a passion for sports while growing up in Queens. From flipping baseball cards to playing stickball, his love for sports was clear early on. He later worked in the film industry in Chicago and found success in finance, but Costa Rica’s Pura Vida lifestyle always pulled at him.
A lifelong connection
JP’s bond with Costa Rica started during a college trip in the 1970s, and over the years, it grew into something special. After a successful career, he and his wife Mary decided to make a dream come true by opening JP’s Bar and Grill.
